2017 was the 50th anniversary of Campus – no small achievement for an entirely volunteer-run charity. In celebration of this, we ran our ‘50 for 50’ anniversary fundraising campaign. Our aim was for at least 50 people to commit to raising a minimum of £50 during the 50th anniversary year.
Our supporters rose to the challenge and undertook an impressively diverse range of fundraising activities – from the London Marathon, walking on fire and the Three Peaks Challenge, to organising a ceilidh, a Santa Dash through Liverpool, a sponsored knitathon and so much more. In total, 61 people became 50 for 50 fundraisers during 2017, raising an impressive total of £18,000 between them – an amount that has had a hugely positive impact on our capacity to provide much-needed holiday provision.
As a small, volunteer-run charity, fundraising is the biggest challenge we face to ensure that we can run our projects to capacity.
