Why should you become a volunteer?
“Do it for the free biscuits.” – Eli, Volunteer”
”Everyone is very friendly, the nightly treats with the fellow volunteers are great and Campus is just a rewarding and special experience.” – Taf, Volunteer
Campus is reliant on volunteers to run its holidays. For this reason we are looking for enthusiastic volunteer helpers to lead small groups of kids for a fun-filled week of activities. As a volunteer you will get to join the kids on activities free of charge, making sure that the children are having a great time while providing them with an environment which allows them to simply be a kid.
You could make a real impact for children in need of respite!
30% of parents and carers surveyed said their children did not get any other type or break or holiday in 2023.
One parent said the best thing about campus was “the increased confidence in my children. The staff do an incredible job of making the kids feel special.”
“I think everything about campus is amazing, I was a looked after child also and I remember going when I was a child I was so surprised to learn it was still going I have some amazing memories that I told the children about before they went and it was lovely hearing about the fabulous memories they have made and hope they will make more memories with you.”
“The best thing about Campus is that everyone’s nice.” Child, 2023

What Happens Next?
After applying we will get into further contact with you to arrange training sessions and conduct a brief informal interview to find out a little more about you and your motivations for doing Campus. If you have any questions about volunteering or the application process, please contact recruitment@campusholidays.org.uk
We are particularly keen to recruit group leaders who are aged 21 and over and have two years of driving experience, as this means you are eligible to drive a minibus. Minibus drivers are crucial to the running of the week as they are needed to take kids to and from activities. If you are at all interested in driving we can take you on a test drive with an experienced driver before you agree to do a week.
